A decade ago, while volunteering as a high school tennis coach, Bill Dirst began exploring different methods of recharging lifeless tennis balls. With the technology perfected and patented, reBounces is bringing its idea to the masses.
Put the bounce back in your balls.
reBounces is a pioneer in green tennis technology through the marketing of its patented Green Tennis Machine – the first bulk tennis ball re-pressurization system of its kind. Tennis teaching facilities can now extend the life of their practice balls, increase their bottom line and create a positive impact on the waste stream. reBounces is also the first and only company to offer a free tennis ball recycling program for facilities and individuals in the continental United States who need to dispose of tennis balls responsibly.
How it changes the world
reBounces lowers the cost and waste associated with tennis, which will lead to greater participation in this life long sport. To date, reBounces and its customers have reused or recycled over 3 million tennis balls – equivalent to averting nearly 200 tonnes of landfill waste and 4 million pounds of CO2… we are just getting started.
If you win?
Winning at the Cleantech Open Global Forum will allow reBounces to accelerate plans to expand our sales force and also broaden our distribution channels both domestically and abroad.
Memorable Cleantech Open moment?
The Cleantech Open forced reBounces to momentarily pause and focus on the data gathered from existing and potential customers. The data immediately led to offering new sizes of our equipment and more recently a relationship with an industry partner to help us scale our business.
